Custom medical integrations

Cornlogic is providing implementation for custom medical integrations following best practice and cutting edge technologies in conjunction of experience. We are supporting most popular EHR systems and providing implementations for HL7, DICOM, FHIR, X12 and other formats integrations.

Medical device integrations

A Medical Device Integration (MDI) system automates the process of data transfer by seamlessly integrating these medical devices with the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system. A vendor-agnostic MDI can connect a wide range of biomedical devices to various EMR solutions, promoting greater interoperability in modern healthcare practices.

Advantages

  1. Eliminates the laborious task of manually recording and inputting readings into the EMR.
  2. Reduces data inaccuracies by bypassing transcription errors.
  3. Facilitates innovations like the Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) and remote patient tracking and management.
  4. Accumulates a substantial volume of selectable data for practice reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements.

MDI Integration Process

  1. Evaluate the compatibility of devices for seamless integration; note that older devices may not be integratable.
  2. Determine the necessary data parameters for clinical decision-making processes, considering the array of data generated by point-of-care devices. Seek consultation from your MDI vendor on this matter.
  3. Standardize data measurements, ensuring that your MDI system converts data into units of measurement consistent with your EMR.
  4. Select the most suitable data source for devices monitoring the same patient vital signs.
  5. Coordinate closely with both MDI and EMR vendors during the implementation phase.
  6. To achieve optimal outcomes, verify that the offered product is compatible, scalable, meets device connectivity requirements, and fulfills hardware prerequisites at the point of contact. Your EMR system should reliably transport data at standard rates.
